Fab Friday

Today I'm linking up with Laura from Between the Lines for Fab Friday!  What a great way to end the week by reflecting on a few fabulous things that have happened recently.

This week was fabulous because...

~ we started a new bedtime routine for Olivia and it's working!  She is falling asleep easier and faster and I'm able to leave her room without her waking up like before.

~ Halloween is almost here and Olivia's costume is adorable... I'm excited to take her to the Spooky Zoo this weekend where she can trick or treat through the zoo and see the animals at the same time.
Let's pray Hurricane Sandy doesn't ruin Halloween for us!

~ I'm learning to be more humble and I'm trying to be a better wife.  It's so difficult to move away from what you know, for me that was being in control, having the final say and 'wearing the pants' in our relationship.  Learning Christian values and how to have a husband/wife relationship according to God's word is so so hard for me and I'm messing up all the time.  But, it's fabulous that I know that I'm messing up and that I ask for forgiveness and that I try harder next time.  Work in progress.

That's all my fabulousness for today!  Happy Weekend!

Laura I am having the same issue with trying to be a better wife. I am trying to fully submit to Ken but like you I am so use to being in control of everything. It is hard to let him lead us because I don't always think his way is the right way. I find myself really struggling to try and step back and let him lead us as a family. I am taking a women's bible study and it has brought so much light to what I am called to be as a woman. The book your friend suggests is exactly what we are talking about now in class. Men are made to love their wives and to provide and protect and as woman we are called to submit to our husbands and respect them. We all struggle but I am so thankful for His word because truly I feel like our marriage is getting better everyday since I accepted Christ into my heart and our home.

Good for you on trying to be a good wife. It's hard sometimes. I am currently reading A Year of Biblical Womanhood by Rachel Held Evan's. So far so good. Eye opener for sure. :)

Good job Mom on getting Olivia on a bed time routine and it working.. Always a great feeling. :)

Can't wait to see her costume, I'm sure she'll be cute!
